29 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE HEALTH-CARE INDUSTRY

Susan McDonough is the founder and owner of Critical RN, LLC. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and a Certified Case Manager. In addition to her Nursing degree, Susan has a BA degree in History with a minor in English, and she possesses excellent analytical and report writing skills.

Miss McDonough has a strong, well rounded clinical background in health care having served patient populations from newborn to geriatric in both rural and large teaching & research hospitals in three states.

Her clinical background includes twelve years of adult critical care, medical/surgical, trauma and coronary intensive care. Her hospital experience also includes three years of newborn and specialty pediatrics caring for patients with birth disorders and brain damaged babies.

She has over seven years of experience in entitlements, managed care, and catastrophic illness/injury. Susan has reviewed thousands of medical records under a federal government contract for the U.S. Military under the Tricare entitlement, and as a Nurse Case Manager for a private health insurance company.

Susan also has four years of unique experience as a Quality Assurance Auditor for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company wherein she audited sterile technique and helped to write standard operating procedures.

Ms. McDonough is an experienced legal nurse consultant having worked on personal injury, medical malpractice, defective medical device and pharmaceutical litigation since 1995.
